Where There's Smoke There's Cheech & Chong

A follow-up to Greatest Hit, this 2 cd (yep, the first double cd Cheech & Chong set!) compilation has lots of stuff few of us have heard. Let's Make A New Dope Deal is my favorite sequel! The 3 radio commercials at the end make it worth buying. It comes with a booklet with lots of pictures that I'd never seen. And an official discography. Some Beatles trivia - George Harrison plays lead guitar on Basketball Jones!!!

Greatest Hit

The most widely requested cd in dormitories around the world. Where I'm from, you weren't allowed to graduate high school without having heard Greatest Hit.

Cheech & Chong

Its 1972 and two stoned schmucks release their first album. Whoa. Some of their most popular skits are here - Acapulco Gold Filters ("No stems, no seeds that you don't need.."), Vietnam ("Yeah man, we found it.."), Trippin' In Court ("uh 22 times, no twice"), and Dave ("Dave's not here!").

Big Bambu

Check this out. In 1972, people bought albums. This one came with a HUGE rolling paper. Only part of it fit on my scanner - here it is. I bought the original album on Ebay for less than $5. Its a great conversation piece. Let's Make A Dope Deal ("That's ok, our judges roll big joints too..") is the best skit here.

Los Cochinos

1973 and they're already at album number 3. You probably didn't appreciate when most of their material was originally released! Its early 70's. Basketball Jones, with George Harrison on guitar, is here.

Cheech & Chong's Wedding Album

One of the more obscure albums, from 1974. I gotta listen to this one some more..

Up In Smoke - Soundtrack

One of my favorite cds! Songs from the movie + the best dialogue. Playing this always gets a good response.

Get Out Of My Room

First and foremost, this is the cd that has Born In East LA on it. Too bad it doesn't list who plays on the songs. But there is a special thanks to Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen. Other cool tunes here are I'm Not Home Right Now, Love Is Strange, I'm a Man (with Tyrone Shoelaces) and Get Out Of My Room.

My Name Is Cheech The School Bus Driver

Hehehe. Cheech does a children's album. This is as absurd as Pee Wee Herman snorting under the table at the Chinese restaurant in Nice Dreams!
