Fritz The Cat
The movie. For those not in the know, Fritz The Cat started off as a comic character
by Crumb (you've seen some of his other stuff). Ralph Bakshi writes and directs the movie.
He's also done lots of other good stuff. Fritz is one of my favorite fictional characters.
Fritz quits college so he can be more of a rebel and see the world. Sound familiar? He's also smart, smart ass, curious, charismatic and more.
Very daring for the early 70's! If you've never heard of Fritz The Cat, don't waste time -
get it. It'll change your life. Or at least enlighten you a bit.
The 9 Lives of Fritz The Cat
Done by different people, this holds up to standard. We only have 2 Fritz The Cat
movies. I watch these every few months with friends. I wish there were more things
like this in the world.
The Life and Death of Fritz The Cat
Crumb's original Fritz comic!! I found it on Ebay. Great summer reading.
Fritz The Cat & Heavy Traffic
Complete your Fritz The Cat experience (I have a framed poster) with the
soundtrack! Funk acid jazz. There's a song/theme for every character. The
booklet has a great story on how the movie and cd came to be. And on Fritz's
place in society. But get it for the music - it brings back great memories
of the movie and its a fun trip back to the early seventies.
