A Midsummer's Wet Dream
These cassettes take me back to the 70's and early 80's. This is the only collection of cassettes that I still have! This one has Valby 70's and 80's classics Old Ball Game, Poontang, Gilligan's Island (now that's a trip to hear!), and versions of Ya-Ya with lots of 70's references.

Dirt
I guess we can call the 70's and early 80's the "Golden Age of John Valby." The fans who saw him were onto a genius well before the rest of us caught on.

Fruits of an Idle Mind
Margaritaville ("Slipping away again in sloppy-second-ville...") is a classic. Puff The Magic Tampon is here. So are Shower Spout and Rum-Pum-Pum. Spank My Fanny is cute.

Give Me Dirt Or Give Me Death
This is the first Valby album that I heard! If anyone has an lp version of this one, let me know.

Half In The Bag
With A Little Help From My Friend and Do-Re-Mi are the two best songs from this one.

Jingle Balls
Not much different than the cd version. This was a favorite way-back-when.

Live at the Pine Inn
I love Lady Madonna ("Fuck you Madonna, suck my fucking dick, you and Cindy Lauper really make me sick..."). And all the racist stuff here!

Sit on a Happy Face
Sounds of Silence ("Hello pecker my old friend") isn't on cd yet - and its one of Valby's best! Country Boy is cool too ("Thank God I'm a pubic hair").

What I Did On My Summer Vacation
When you start off with two Simon & Garfunkel songs, you're doin' alright.

Don't Go Soft On Me Now
A trip back to the 70's! Lots of songs from tv shows. The Brady Bunch become The Buttfuck Bunch.
